Surrounding area

Peaceful, beautiful and impressive
The region of Matarraña with its beautiful green hills and mountains in the southeast of the region Aragón, where Mas del Pi is located, is becoming increasingly popular. However there is no mass tourism yet. This region is often called ‘Spanish Tuscany’ which is totally understandable if you consider its beauty.

In Valderrobres you will find restaurants, supermarkets, bakeries and much more. There are also several options in the area to cool down on a warm day such as a large lake with beaches, rivers and many natural pools. Mas del Pi is close to the natural park ‘Els Ports’. This park is ideal for hiking and mountain biking.

Close by there are many activities to do. A few must see highlights within half an hour drive are:

A medieval village with a monumental status. You enter Valderrobres via the medieval bridge San Roque. Through the winding streets you can walk to the 14th century castle and the Santa María Mayor church. In the village are several restaurants with terraces.

Beceite is a village that has several restaurants. Near Beceite there are natural swimming pools. It is on the edge of the nature reserve ‘Puertos de Beceite’.

A spectacular hike of about 3 hours (back and forth) along the Matarraña river on wooden bridges.

A big lake with beaches and picknick tables under the trees. Here you can also do water sports like supping and canoeing.

Typical rock formations, canyons, caves and rivers with waterfalls. There are set out hiking and mountain bike trails.
